We had an early Christmas this year. We have been saving for a new bed for awhile, and with Trent being reimbursed some money from work made it all possible to happen now.
After I had Noah, I told Trent that I wouldn't make it through another pregnancy without a new bed and a place to sit after having the baby. Our old bed was given to us from Trent's parents. Way nice of them! The bed is just so old and there wasn't much room it being a double bed. Trent was always elbowing me in the head and I was pushing him off. He was more than agreeable to get a new bed!!
Big boy bed!!! I am so proud of Noah. He has done amazing at adjusting to the big boy bed (this was mine and Trent's old bed). I was really nervous for this change but so far so good! (Knock on wood). I wanted to get him in a bed before we have the baby just to make giving up his crib not as traumatic and having him resent the baby etc. He has slept in it now for four nights and taken naps as well. The first nap was a little rough. He would keep on running out to the living room but finally after 45 minutes of this he fell asleep. After that we walked to Halberts and bought M&M's for a special treat for him for being such a big boy! He loved that.
He really does love his bed! It is plenty big for him to pile on all the toys he wants to sleep with and of course he loves the bedding! He loves, loves, loves sports. His favorite right now is basketball. As much as he loves the bedding he won't give up his blankets from the crib. That is okay as long as he sleeps I am just fine with that! I really don't think he will give those blankets up, I may have to by some new blankets for the crib when baby comes.
P.S. Don't you love the posters on Noah's wall?! They are some of Trent's old posters. Noah loves them! Also don't mind the pink sheet in the window. I have to do something to block the sun from coming in at 4am! That will be one nice thing about fall and winter no early sun rises!

As you can see we got a recliner. We were looking into gliders, however I've had people tell me that those are a waste of money, and this recliner happened to be a bit cheaper than a glider. Trent liked this idea much better than the glider! Way comfy! This will be so nice to have after I have the baby. We had a recliner in Philly that was given to us from Trent's old roomies, which they got from the DI. It was in horrible shape! I couldn't ever get in a comfy position on it, and after I had Noah, well recovery was horrid! I won't go into detail. I could go on and on! Anyhow, the point of this story was when we moved back out to the west, we tried to give the chair to some second hand stores. Nobody would take it! Trent and one of our friends threw it in the dumpster at our apartment complex.
